Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #2

Welcome to lesson #2. First of all, I believe that gratitude is so important in everyday life. With that in mind, I am amazed by the response to this ezine and I want to thank you for trusting the process and believing in yourself. When I woke up the next day after setting it up and saw the number of people signed up, I burst into tears. I owe everything I created to God. He led me to do so and through him I will help you. I am here to be the light for you to know that you already have the perfection within. We have several layers that we will reveal. You can then make new choices in your weight loss journey and set daily plans for yourself. You will be amazed at the difference. My intention is that you get results!

As we continue through each lesson, I will also review some of the content in the previous lessons to summarize. Hey, it doesn’t hurt to hear information over and over, right? Remember it takes 21 days to form a habit. In lesson #1, we discussed how everything is made up of energy. Your thoughts are pure energy. Everything you spend is what you get back. The law of attraction is established and will manifest those things in your life that you attract with your thoughts. Changing your thoughts will be your biggest challenge. It was for me and it takes a daily effort to do so. When you look at your life right now, what attracted you to your thoughts? If you are overweight, then what do you believe about yourself? If you believed you could actually lose weight, those thoughts would be released into the universe to produce a completely different response.

I previously mentioned Louise Hay’s book, You Can Heal Your Life, in which she talks about anger being the core issue of weight problems. Now, have you done your homework? The homework assignment was to list the people in your life that you are angry with and remember that you can include yourself. You were also supposed to write down what they did that made you angry.

For me, I felt no love from either parent, but I had such a special bond with my dad that I held his energy in a more destructive way in my body. My father died when I was fourteen, and there’s a whole story behind that story in an e-book, “Closely Kept Secrets to Overcoming Illness.” I felt responsible for his life and death, and this book will detail all about how I contracted a terrible disease because I carried so much negative energy in my childhood. With that in mind, I carried anger about not feeling loved and the childhood I believed I deserved.

OK, ready to release that anger? First, I want to explain the process. As an integrative body therapist, I work with clients face-to-face or over the phone to help release their pain using Rapid Eye and Emotional Freedom Techniques. Energy is energy and it can be used all over the world. I heard from a subscriber that she felt tingling all over after this process so it does work. We are on this journey together supported by God. It is similar to the energy of prayer – the person does not have to be there to see that the prayer is working.

What is Rapid Eye Technology (RET)? It is a technology developed to help release pain and trauma so that a person can experience love and joy on a deeper level. It stimulates the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep cycle, a natural release process. Your eyes flutter when you are in REM sleep similar to watching a sleeping baby and this is where the release process occurs. How many of you have experienced waking up in the middle of the night remembering that you were supposed to do something? This is your brain working for you while you sleep. Well, in RET, you’re awake and you’re processing and releasing your stuff. There is also guided imagery, charka clearing, affirmations and life skills that are part of this process as well. RET is great for left and right brain balance because the left brain needs to know why, while the right brain sees the positive/spiritual aspect of the world. In addition, we will use Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). The basic premise of this technique is that when a person experiences a negative emotion such as anger, there is a disturbance in the body’s energy system resulting in various symptoms. EFT is similar to acupuncture without the needles.

When I work with clients, we go through six to twelve sessions. Depending on the amount of stuff you’re carrying will determine how long the sessions are so just keep that in mind. The results are absolutely amazing as the person feels lighter after the release.

OK, we got that out of the way. Now let’s continue.

These processes address the underlying cause of most weight problems – the need to soothe with food the anxiety felt by you with unresolved emotional issues. Until the person’s underlying issue is addressed, the need to overeat will continue. This is why many weight loss programs fail in the long run. People may lose weight using them, but because the underlying emotional problem is still there, the need to heal emotions through food will ever be present. My experience working with people who are overweight has been that the underlying emotion needs to be released in order for new choices to be made; Otherwise they will just come back.

Right now, sit back and think about your anger. Judge where you are on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) with your anger we talked about earlier – who are you angry with and why. Now, if you don’t feel anger, then identify if it’s sadness, guilt, or shame.

Release process

Set your intention for what you want from your personal session and ask God, angels or your guides for help. If uncomfortable feelings come up, acknowledge them by writing down what you’re feeling. Read the entire process (do several things) to the end of the ezine before continuing.

1) Get comfortable in a chair or on the couch. Find two points. One in each corner of the room at eye level.

2) Move your eyes to the right and left as fast as possible so that the focus is released (when you move your eyes from left to right, look up at the seam between the ceiling and the wall, and then slowly move your gaze down to the wall. Seam between the wall and the floor, then return to eye level. It’s like “Zigzag” sequence.

3) After a few seconds of this, open your eyes wide and then close them while breathing in and out. Do this no more than three times.

4) If the emotion still seems strong, go back to step 2 and start over. Do this process only twice.

5) Open your mouth wide and take a big breath, hold it for a second and then blow the energy out to dissolve in the light. Do this three times.

While doing the above process, you can say the following while moving your eyes:

Release all the trauma/release all the anger/release all the sadness/release all the frustration/release all the sorrow/release all the helplessness/release all the hopelessness/release all the pity/release all that endangers me/release the This.

Energy realignment

Tap the pressure points described below with the first two fingers (index and middle) on your hand 7-10 times while repeating the phrases below. Here are some you can use or you can make up your own to make it unique to your situation.

Always fill in the blanks and then complete the statement with the same phrase.

Even though my mother didn’t love me, I accept myself deeply and completely.

Even though I didn’t feel love from my father, I accept myself deeply and fully.

Even though my mom doesn’t think I’m good enough, I accept myself deeply and completely.

Although I am embarrassed by my weight, I have deeply accepted myself and made peace.

1) The beginning of the eyebrow towards the nose

2) side of the eye (each eye)

3) Under the center of the eye on the cheekbone (in each eye)

4) under the nose

5) Under the lower lip

6) just below the collarbone (both collarbones)

7) Under the arm, about 4 inches below the armpit (either arm)

8) Tap the entire top of the head for good energy flow

9) Make a fist and rub in a clockwise motion on your heart

Don’t worry if you’re not sure if you’re getting the right points across and saying it just right. You will still get results. There are many energy points throughout the body. Believe in yourself and know that God is with you every step of the way.

Now, judge the intensity on a scale of 1-10. If you are not on 1 or 2, repeat the tap.

You can tap throughout the day, especially when food issues start to arise (even though I have this craving for chips, I get myself deep and full). I do a morning routine of tapping and I include exercise, meditation and prayer. I tap throughout the day and it keeps me focused and then I also do a night routine. I type when I have to make a presentation and I experience fear. I tap when I’m about to have a conversation that’s uncomfortable and I experience fear. I tap my car. I’m sure it must be funny to whoever is in the car next to me. Just like me, it will become part of your daily routine.

positive statements

The mind does not know how to differentiate between what is real and what is imagined. Athletes use this concept to visualize themselves already having accomplished their feat. They imagine themselves winning. This is what separates the successful from those who still face challenges. You must believe in yourself as if you are already at your desired weight.

With that in mind, it’s important to use these as if they were already happening. Once you do this, you will discover and attract exactly what you focus your thoughts on. Use these or make up your own and say them throughout the day…several times a day. It works to put them on sticky notes or 3×5 cards so you remember to do them. Put them on your fridge, your mirror…..anywhere in sight.

If you feel like you’re not quite in that space and time, here are some things you can do:

o Press the tip of the tongue firmly against the roof of the mouth behind the front teeth and hold the fingertips together for about 30 seconds.

o Place your right hand on your head while imagining energy entering through the top of your head and flowing down your spine and connecting to the center of the Earth.

o Tap the entire top of your head

o Drink some water
